Teacher Education Council Purpose The Teacher Education Council at Wright State University is comprised of representatives from the colleges of Liberal Arts, Education and Human Services, and the College of Science and Mathematics and for partnership pK‑ 12 school districts. The Teacher Education Council is designed to further the ongoing collaboration between education, arts and sciences and professional educators to produce teachers for our nation's schools. The council will review the expectations for what children in the schools are expected to know and be able to do, and assures that Wright State's teacher preparation programs are aligned to prepare teachers whose knowledge and skills match the learning goals of pK‑12 students. The Teacher Education Council meets quarterly to focus on coordinating all available resources to prepare knowledgeable and pedagogically skilled teachers. September 15, 2000
